Windows Like File Manager Reddit For Free Out ThereThe developer deserves bread and butter to continue this genius work he is providing. I could step over the cost barrier of a few dollars and I think its worth every penny. Although the initial cost barrier might scare off freeriders who want everything in life for free (and there is alot for free out there! Ive tried over twenty other Windows File Managers), once I explored this I immediately seased my research, closed all other open tabs of still to be explored file managers (!) and focussed all my attention to discover this thing! It meets my needs for my personal and professional use. CulturedAnubis's Experience Despite being picky, demanding and choosy as an engineer, I cannot find negative points worth mentioning about this all encompassing nifty little genius file manager. So I think its worth a few dollars to keep it that way. Unlike many other freeware stuff that was born (and a few years on quickly died) as a mere hobby-project, this thing is kept up to date so you have security and reliability of a future. I hope Never to see the day in which this software closes down, and I have absolute hope I will not, because its not freeware it has a chance to be kept alive and up to date. Yet nothing too much! Resembling a piece of art! Incredible logical artwork.See MoreFiles for reddit-downloader, version 0.0.2. Mine has ended :) cheers, Sam Eftegarie (engineer/architect). I wish everybody good luck in their own personal search. Resuming broken downloadsAlso, the Android engineering team will host a Reddit AMA on r/androiddev. BitTorrent support Download files using BitTorrent protocol. Free Download Manager allows you to adjust traffic usage, organize downloads, control file priorities for torrents, efficiently download large files and resume broken downloads. The XYplorer author added both features perfectly (with additional enhancements) in a couple of days! That kind of support easily justifies the purchase price. I made a request for an improvement in the way BOM-less UTF-8 files were detected and a request for the ability to find files containing character codes>127. Lately, I have been working with many subtitle (SRT) files, in many nested folders, and had a need to identify files that contain extended characters. With XYplorer, I can search for anything, anywhere much more quickly than using Explorer, with absolutely nothing hidden from me. As Microsoft obscured more of the file system from the user and made assumptions about how searches should be performed, the more essential XYplorer has become. No extra files are created like with other programs that place an icon in each directory. You can customize an infinite number of icons for an infinite number of files and/folders or even just a single one based on what ever combination you want. See MoreCustom file and folder icons Add a custom icon to a set of files or folders based on file type, location, name (or part of name) for example: all files named XYplorer to have 'icon x' or all folders that contain the word XYplorer in the name to have 'icon y', size, date, name length, path etc. Further flexibility comes with the ability to turn on or off individual custom icons with a simple tick box. To turn the customized icons on or off is simply a matter of pressing the handy toggle button. It's so easy to add, remove, change and fine tune your settings to your liking. Customized icons are also very very flexible. Meaning that all new files or folders that match your predefined pattern or instruction if you like will automatically be displayed with your chosen icon. It's set and forget as all file/folder icon associations are applied globally. Emulator mac compatibleA more extensive list is available in the XYPlorer help file. There are some examples of these patterns included within the "Customize File Icons" UI or settings box to get you started by selecting the "I" button. But as results are immediately visible, it makes it easy to adjust accordingly to exactly what you want. XYplorer handles all of that so easily and allows me to group tabs together that contain related material (each tab is like one independent instance of Windows Explorer). With Windows Explorer, this was bug-prone at best, and Windows Explorer hung (stopped responding) usually once every other day, which meant not just setting them back up again, but a distraction from my train of thought - costly in my profession. See MorePopularFascinus's Experience In my work, I have to have 10-15 file-manager windows (or tabs) open at the same time, because I need quick reference to many different groups of files. Total video downloader for mac crack torrentWindows Explorer has a NAME-SORTING bug that causes these directories (when sorted by name) to apparently have the creation date affecting their sort order, which is unnerving, and cost a LOT of time hunting for the folder when they were not, in fact, in sequence. One that comes to mind as I type this is I have one directory with thousands of sub-directories with long names that only differ (in spelling) in a serial number on the right side. I have found over time that there are MANY improvements over Windows Explorer that make a difference. Everything is accessible and easy to run. You don't want to spend time configuring your file manager? No problem, XYplorer comes with lots of options (keyboard shortcuts, toolbar, menu, address bar, command palette) to find what you're looking for. (From one point of view, this is what I would have built for MYSELF if I had had the time.) :-) See MoreMotivatedDione's Experience My favorite file manager, and the only one I use since a long time, period. Another important item is finding files in a sub-directory tree - very fast, and very reliable (unlike Windows Explorer, which frequently misses files in a file find!) As a software developer myself, I have nothing but praise for the developer(s). Beta versions every other day or so. Of course, there are a few others file managers that does the job as good as XYplorer (maybe a bit better in some cases, maybe a bit painful in others), so why did I choose to buy XYplorer for a lifetime license? Beta versions: if you enjoy getting new features early, you're in for a treat. Years after starting using XYplorer as my one and only file manager, for hours each day, I still find myself tweaking it and scripting it to perfect my needs and workflow. $80 might seem a big price for some piece of software. Scriptable: when you want to perform complex tasks, scripting is gold. New features: the developer is very active (like every day - almost) in the forums, and if you make an intelligible, decent and justified request for an enhancement, you might be surprised and see your request implemented the next day in a beta version. Customization: almost everything is customizable to your liking. Community: there's a lot of nice people ready to help you in the forums.
